The CERD carried out the study on Environmental Impact Assessment of Mining; Industries, Dams & River valley and Multi Purpose Projects, Powerhouses and Infrastructure projects in the States of Assam, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan and U.T. of Delhi.
CERD had acted as Nodal Agency for Micro-planning of District Primary Education Program (DPEP), a World Bank Project in Haryana.
CERD actively participated in the activities of Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) in the states of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh ad Punjab states.
CERD also collaborated with MDRI for external evaluation of Total Literacy Campaign carried out by National Literacy Mission (NLM) in Pilibhit, Varanasi and Kaushambi Districts of Uttar Pradesh.
CERD has carried out collaborative study on “Holistic Rural Education and the Horizon of Professional Development of Distance Educators in collaboration with MDRI and UNESCO chair, IGNOU”.
CERD is one of the premier Consultancy Organizations selected for training on Rainwater harvesting and artificial recharge by UP Ground Water Department in 2004.
CERD has developed many short papers on Education, Schools and Cultural Competency.
In the specific awareness campaigns started on education and its linkages to gainful employment generation have been effectively responsive. It has also helped people be sensitive to educational environment, as well.
CERD carried out RAPDRP Project of Government of India as partner with WTI Advanced Technologies Ltd, a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS). The project involves DGPS survey of electrical network and consumer indexing. It involve deployment of 25 personnel for GPS and network survey and 110 personnel for consumer data collection in addition to Autocad and GIS engineering professionals for compilation, collation and indexing using GIS technique after differential correction using post processing. 2011. The backup office staff is manned by GIS professionals who are experts in geo-referencing and GIS mapping. CERD has completed the RAPDRP project in eight towns of Madhya Pradesh in Gwalior Region.
CERD carried out RAPDRP project in Eastern Uttar Pradesh in collaboration with HCL Infotech Ltd. involving intensive DGPS survey in 4 towns. Here the project involve involvement of 15 personnel for DGPS and network survey and another 50 persons for consumer survey since each and every consumer of the towns were to be covered.
Simultaneously, CERD worked in collaboration with Spanko in Punjab for RAPDRP Project in Ludhiana.
CERD prepared Rainwater Harvesting and Artificial Recharge schemes for various Govt., public sector and private organizations in Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. These include Municipal bodies, Public Health Departments, Housing colonies and Industries including a few multinational companies.
CERD has assessed Groundwater Pollution in the vicinity of Distilleries in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. In Punjab, Aquifer mapping was done and DRASTIC Model was used for assessing Ground water pollution. The remedial measures developed and designed by CERD have resulted in improvement of groundwater quality significantly in a time span of three years.
CERD has carried out Population Density Survey for the purpose of Risk Analysis and EMP/DMP for 1200 Km. long LPG pipe-line between Hazira (Gujarat) to Pyala (Haryana) proposed by M/s Gas Authority of India Ltd. (GAIL).
Risk analysis for LPG Bottling Plant within the National Capital Territory of Delhi has also been done by CERD.
In collaboration with NISM, CERD has carried out study of Environmental Damage by Small Mines: Guidelines for EIA and EMP in Aravallis for DOEN, MOEFs.
The CERD joined hands with Irrigation Support Project for Asia and Near East (ISPAN) of USAID for assessing the practicability of Central Water Commission Guidelines for Sustainable Water Resources Development and Management to further strengthened scientific knowledge stemming from quality education component.
Simultaneously, the CERD is providing technical consultancy to different Firms, Companies – private as well as public sector, Institutions and Government Departments on Assessment and Management of Environment and Pollution Control.
The Research and consultancy assignments are being carried out by the team of experts in different fields having long and wide ranging experience.
The CERD is also drawing on the expertise in relevant subject matters from the experts of academic and research institutions of National and International repute.
